Hello! I care about you and would like to assist you in taking good care of yourself! The services I offer are designed to create ease in body and mind. They are experiential and often times educational in encouraging you to pay attention to your experience and what your body needs to be well. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reset and find relief from stress and pain, as well as find balance and well being. - Heather
Featured on two PBS specials! This innovative work in pain relief gently yet effectively addresses neuromuscular and musculoskeletal pain patterns at the root cause, addressing and correcting imbalances. Typically reduction of pain is achieved with the first treatment. An individual wellness plan is provided with recommended simple stretches that can be easily incorporated into your day.
IPT does not require ongoing appointments. A follow-up appointment is recommended to monitor and improve the wellness plan for maximum benefit. Many people come for two to three sessions although it is not uncommon to find relief and learn to incorporate IPT into your self-care with only one appointment! IPT is a reset for your body!
Mindfulness meditation helps create ease in body and mind. The practices of mindfulness are rooted in ancient Eastern wisdom teachings yet are relevant to today's frantic times. With an intention to learn to bring attention to the present moment we can tap into the peace and centeredness that is inherent in each of us.
By practicing mindfulness we shift into an awareness of things as they are and create the possibility of relating to ourselves and others with more kindness, clarity and understanding. Mindfulness practice can help us move from our habitual autopilot doing mode into being. It is a reset we can learn to use anytime, anywhere.
Mindfulness can be practiced sitting (in a chair if needed), lying, standing or even when walking slowly. These practices can be done in just a few minutes a day and make a huge difference when practiced regularly.
We often hear that yoga's roots can be traced back thousands of years. The ancient philosophical texts do speak of yoga, however most of the references are of meditation, only mentioning posture as it refers to sitting with ease. The western yoga poses we learn today originated in Britain in the 1800's. Yoga adepts were acrobats! The goal should not be to attain a particular posture, but to care for and support the body-mind. Intentional yoga, relevant to our modern lifestyle and practiced at a slow pace, with attention to the body and breath is particularly useful in reducing stress, creating ease of movement and toning and strengthening for optimal function off the mat.
Reset Relief offers Reset Relax yoga, a gentle muscle balancing practice, with emphasis on creating EASE in the body and mind. Restorative/yin style includes muscle balancing (particularly of the pelvis), relaxation and breathing techniques to calm the nervous system. Stress and pain relieving!
A very gentle, relaxing energy modality from Japan using the body's own subtle energy and wisdom to achieve balance. Soothing stress and pain reducing treatment.
Can be learned for self practice (via a certification class/course - available through Reset Relief)

"I highly recommend Heather's integrated positional therapy. For more than a year, I had been having frequent leg cramps in the calf areas at night which woke me up and affected my sleep badly. In just one session Heather performed a comprehensive assessment and taught me some stretches to perform daily at home. My leg cramps are under control. I have not woken up with cramps since my session! Heather's hands-on guidance gives me confidence and good counsel and I'm very thankful.”
"I was having pain in my knee for at least 8 months and my hips were feeling so tight. After one session with Heather and performing the 3 easy stretches she gave me as homework, 4-5 times a day at first and now 1-2 times a day, I am virtually pain free. I enjoy walking for exercise and I am now able to add some jogging intervals into my walking, which I didn't think would be possible after the knee pain.”
"I had my first Integrated Positioning Therapy session with Heather for increasing pain I was experiencing for months in both of my forearms related to “tennis elbow” and I am so happy with the pain relief that I have achieved. Heather performed the gentle stretches and muscle releases giving clear explanations and I had immediate relief from the pain. My forearms felt so good that I was afraid to use them and ruin the progress I gained! However, Heather provided excellent education to me on positioning and exercises that I can do at home to relieve and prevent the pain from reoccurring and hindering my daily activities. I am so appreciative of Heather's knowledge and skill in IPT and the pain relief results she helped me attain!"
